Baby Steps

Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross. On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now on the right side of God’s throne. Hebrews 12: 2 (TLV)

BALANCING ACT

The last 2 days were rough! Last night the last thing I wanted to do was workout!!! There were so many good reasons in my head that I had on why I could skip one day. Yet I have to say this blog kept me accountable, talking to a friend earlier who got up out of her bed to head out in the cold for a run kept me accountable. Yet I still struggled. I put that DVD in and didn’t think I was going to make it. Then my mom who was watching decided to join in my workout for the last 15 mins and gave me the strength and encouragement to finish all because she joined me.

Earlier that day all I saw was the mess my house was in, the phone calls I needed to make, the bills I needed to pay. I was so overwhelmed that just the prospect of starting made me tired, much less to think about exercising. So I picked one thing, laundry that has been piling up for some time now. As I started it seemed impossible as I separated the clothes in piles and realized how much clothes I actually had to wash, dry, fold and put away. I started and my mom came right beside me, helping me fold and put away. As my dad helped by keeping my son occupied.

On your journey you are not alone. God knows exactly when you need help and he sends us helps, sometimes when and where we least expect it. Nothing accomplished that lasts is done alone. There are always the quiet ones in the back that you may never hear about, but they help you take that next step. They believe in you when you don’t believe in yourself, they come along side you to help you. They are willing to go to God on your behalf to pray for you as you journey!

Thank God I’m not alone!!!! For that reminder has helped me to accomplish days 3 and 4
